Cultivating departmental leaders to support evidence-based, data-informed teaching in introductory STEM courses
The purpose of the STEM Teaching and Learning Community (STEM-TLC) is to cultivate departmental pedagogical leaders that provide mutual support for introductory STEM instructors in integrating and improving evidence-based teaching practices through data-informed pedagogical decision making.
STEM-TLC overview
There are two main components to the learning community: 1) faculty lead bi-monthly meetings with program facilitators, and 2) faculty lead events for the UVA STEM community. Three different groups of individuals will engage with STEM-TLC.
