At the Center for Teaching Excellence, our initiatives bring coherence and momentum to our work by intentionally connecting forward-facing events, programs, and resources with behind-the-scenes organizational development work and scholarship.

Guided by our mission and UVA’s strategic priorities, these initiatives reflect sustained, cross-institutional collaborative efforts to advance evidence-informed practice and contribute to teaching and learning efforts across departments and the institution. By weaving together multiple forms of engagement, our initiatives make visible how focused areas of work such as AI, digital accessibility, and student partnerships can enable a thriving teaching culture.
