How to Apply
Our Summer 2025 session is scheduled for May 19-23. The location is TBD, but will be a space on or near Grounds.
Instructors at UVA and other institutions are invited to apply to CDI.
The cost to attend is approximately $1,000 and, for UVA participants, can be covered through the Education Benefit program. The payment deadline is May 2.
The CTE provides scholarships to full-time faculty who are not yet eligible for the Education Benefit. Up to five graduate students may be accepted into the program with expenses covered by the CTE, contingent upon space and funding availability.

Statement of Interest: Briefly describe why you are interested in designing/redesigning a course during CDI. Please draw from the following questions to guide your response:
What are your goals for student learning?
How will your course help students achieve those goals?
If you are redesigning an existing course, what would you like to accomplish with your redesign?
Are there aspects of your course that you expect will be particularly difficult to design?
Applications are due Monday, April 7.
