OneHE Lunch and Learn Series: Teaching Digital Reading
Getting students to "do the reading" is a perennial challenge in higher ed, but it has taken on new dimensions since the COVID-19 pandemic. In this virtual lunch and learn, we'll watch and discuss a few short videos from the OneHE course "Teaching Digital Reading" by Jenae Cohn, author of the 2021 book Skim, Dive, Surface: Teaching Digital Reading. To help us explore this topic, we'll be joined by Devin Donovan, associate professor of English, and Melissa Levy, associate professor of education and human development, who will share their experiences teaching digital reading at UVA.
Note: Since this is a virtual lunch and learn, participants are encouraged to bring their own lunches.
