
Luke Rosenberger
Assistant Director of Digital Accessibility Initiatives
Biography
Luke joined the Center for Teaching Excellence in May of 2025. As the Assistant Director of Digital Accessibility Initiatives, Luke is a champion and advocate for digital accessibility in teaching and learning across UVA. His goals are to build outreach programs to increase understanding of the value of accessible learning environments, and to develop guidance, support and workshops to increase instructors’ skills and confidence in creating accessible learning materials and experiences. Luke always looks forward to the opportunity to consult with instructors and other stakeholders on ways to make UVA more accessible.
Luke comes to UVA with over 25 years of leadership experience in libraries, technology, and higher education. Before joining the CTE, Luke served for 18 years at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, first as Director of Library Technology & Historical Collections, then as Director of Web Initiatives and Services, and finally as the institution’s first Digital Accessibility Officer. Luke holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish education from Bowling Green State University (Ohio), and a master’s degree in library and information science from the University of Texas at Austin.
