Gabi Dumet

I was born in Lima, Peru. I went to law school in Peru and practiced law for 2 years before starting graduate studies in philosophy, first in Hungary, then in Virginia. I am now in my 6^th year along the PhD program at UVA, and work mostly in the metaphysics of social construction, particularly the construction of our notions of possibility and essence. I am also a founding member of Theorema, an organization of Peruvian philosophers working to make philosophy more publicly accessible, where I do public teaching and mentorship (in Spanish). I love board games, history podcasts, and nature.
