Workshop
The Plot Thickens: Creating Dynamic Online Learning Materials
Online and hybrid courses don't fail because faculty don't care, or because students are lazy. They struggle when the learning experience unintentionally invites students to consume quietly, work alone, and guess whether they are on track.
In this workshop, faculty will be invited to rethink how students experience content in online and hybrid courses. How can we intentionally design learning materials that move students from passive consumption to active engagement?
Through practical examples using tools like Hypothesis, H5P, Peerceptiv, and NotebookLM, participants will explore strategies for creating more dynamic online learning materials and leave with at least one concrete idea they can apply in an upcoming course.
This workshop is co-sponsored by the CTE and the Office of Online Education and Digital Innovation.
