The Norton Guide to Equity-Minded Teaching

Whether you’re just getting started or have been in the classroom for years, The Norton Guide to Equity-Minded Teaching has something for you. This rich but easy-to-digest guide presents an approach to course design and implementation that is grounded in evidence and real teaching scenarios from multiple disciplines and instructor perspectives. We will read the book in three parts throughout the month of April. Attendance at all three meetings – especially our final discussion with co-author and the Innovations in Pedagogy Summit keynote speaker Isis Artze-Vega – is strongly encouraged.

The meetings are scheduled for:

  • Friday, April 3, 10:00-10:50 AM, CTE Library & Zoom - Read Section 1
  • Friday, April 17, 10:00-10:50 AM, CTE Library & Zoom - Read Section 2
  • Wednesday, April 29, 2:15-3:30 PM, Newcomb Hall (Room TBD) during the Innovations in Pedagogy Summit - Read Section 3

Note: The Guide is available FOR FREE with your UVA email. Request a digital copy.
