Workshop
Inclusive Teaching Workshop
Note: this workshop is intended for participants who joined TPT prior to Fall 2026. All graduate students (whether in TPT or not) are welcome to register and attend, but it is geared specifically toward fulfilling the Inclusive teaching workshop requirement for the pre-2026 TPT program.
What does it mean to teach in inclusive ways? How can graduate student instructors translate inclusion from the realm of theory into classroom practices?
This workshop begins with the premise that good teaching is fundamentally inclusive; to be good teachers, instructors must cultivate practices that support learning for all students. Based on these foundational values, you'll deepen your conceptual understanding of educational inclusivity, and encounter some frameworks to guide you as you implement inclusive pedagogical practices in your teaching. Throughout the workshop, we'll pay attention to the specific contexts and power dynamics that are most relevant to working as a graduate teaching assistant.
