Student Partners in SoTL

Supporting faculty–student partnerships in the scholarship of teaching and learning

Open

The purpose of Student Partners in SoTL (Scholarship of Teaching and Learning) is to foster partnerships between faculty and graduate students to move forward faculty’s SoTL projects.

Through a mutual matching process based on interests, experience, and work style, graduate students are paired with faculty who need help with various aspects of SoTL, such as literature reviewing, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing a conference proposal or manuscript.

Student Partners in SoTL is open year-round, with pairings often made at the beginning of the semester. Faculty are responsible for funding their graduate student partner; the CTE does not provide funding. Faculty interested in applying for SoTL funding should see our SoTL Grants.
