Learning Community
Teaching Effectively with ChatGPT
Interested in teaching with or about generative artificial intelligence? Participants in this learning community will read and discuss the book Teaching Effectively with ChatGPT by Dan Levy and Angela Pérez Albertos. The book offers practical strategies for using ChatGPT in your instructional work, from lesson planning to rubric creation to case study writing, along with ideas for helping your students use ChatGPT to support their learning. One key feature of the book is examples from actual instructor practice, including at least a couple from UVA faculty! More information is available on the book's website.
Participants will receive a paperback copy of Teaching Effectively with ChatGPT. In exchange, we'll expect you to experiment with generative AI, at least a little, in between sessions and share reflections on those experiments with the learning community.
