Workshop

Integrating Principles of Equitable Course Design into Canvas

Want to enhance your course on Canvas? This interactive workshop will empower you to create inclusive learning experiences in Canvas that ensure every student feels valued and supported. We will explore essential questions such as:

  • How do you ensure every student can access materials for learning?
  • How do you intentionally communicate expectations for engaging in Canvas?
  • How do you structure your course in Canvas that students can easily navigate throughout the semester?

You’ll engage in hands-on activities, examine best practices for accessibility, and learn strategies to foster a sense of belonging within your course. Utilizing Canvas templates, you'll apply these principles directly to your course design. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have started transforming your Canvas course, a clear plan to complete it, and practical tools grounded in equitable principles to help you successfully implement your design.

Lunch will be provided. Participants should bring their laptop to access their Canvas account and a charger.
