Workshop

2.X: Equitable Collaborative Learning

Are you interested in refining your approach to group work in the classroom? This two-day workshop led by Lynn Mandeltort and Caroline Warren offers a deeper dive into the intentional design and execution of equitable collaborative learning experiences, with a particular focus on enduring groups and/or assignments.

By engaging in a variety of collaborative learning activities, participants will have the opportunity to experience different types of group work and practice applying the principles of equitable teaching in the context of collaborative learning. Participants will also explore approaches to organizing and supporting groups to maximize students’ affective and cognitive learning. Participants will come away with a (re)designed collaborative assignment for their course and more confidence in their ability to facilitate meaningful collaborative learning experiences for their students.

Prior experience with course design is preferred but not required. Priority will be given to our Course Design Institute and c3Design alumni; instructors who have not completed either program will be admitted on a case-by-case basis. Register for this event by Friday, February 19th.
