Ann Reimers joined the team as a CTE Faculty Fellow in July 2021. Ann is an Assistant Professor, General Faculty in the Department of Engineering & Society, with a secondary appointment in the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, within the School of Engineering. She currently teaches Introduction to Engineering Lab and Statics; she has also taught Introduction to Engineering Studio and Dynamics.

Ann’s interests include improving engineering pedagogy, curriculum development, and supporting underrepresented engineers and transfer students. She has served on state-wide curriculum development teams for engineering education at the K-12 and university levels and is currently the Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in her primary department. Her 2020 paper entitled “Modification of a Physics Rotational Kinematics Concept Inventory for use with Engineering Dynamics Students” earned the Best Paper Award from the American Society for Engineering Education’s (ASEE) Mechanics Division.

Ann earned a D.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from The George Washington University, a master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
