CANCELED - Scholarly Teaching: Using Evidence to Better Support Student Learning

**We regret to announce that this event has been canceled because of the situation with the COVID-19 virus. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.**

How do you know if your teaching is promoting student learning? What kinds of evidence could you use to make your teaching as effective as possible? In this workshop, we will explore the kinds of scholarship that exists around teaching and learning and ways that you can use this body of work to inform your teaching. We will also consider the similarities and differences in what scholarly teaching looks like across disciplines. You will have an opportunity to reflect on your practice and the evidence of learning that you may already be collecting. In the workshop, you will have the opportunity to develop a preliminary plan for using evidence to better support student learning in your course.
