Graduate Student Associate
Nicole is a Ph.D. student in Politics. She studies Americans’ understanding of the concept of “citizenship” and how this understanding affects public policy. Nicole teaches a course based on her dissertation, “The Politics of American Citizenship,” and has been a teaching assistant for Politics courses on mass media, public opinion, and race. In 2015, Nicole won the All-University Graduate Teaching Award, because she is awesome. Nicole volunteers at the Siamese Cat Rescue Center in Locust Dale, Virginia. Not surprisingly, she also has three cats. Her favorite Founding Father is Alexander Hamilton.
