Nathan Brown is a Ph.D. candidate in the French department, specializing in eighteenth-century French literature and culture. He is interested, specifically, in representations of the French New World in metropolitan France. Nathan has taught all levels of the French language sequence as well as the introductory writing course, “The Reading and Writing of Texts.” For the past two summers, Nathan has taught in the Summer Language Institute. Before that, he taught English in Lyon, France. Besides his pedagogical and scholarly pursuits, he enjoys cooking, graphic novels, and wine tasting.
